Elon Musk has been one of the supporters and investors of Open AI since its inception. However, due to internal disagreements, he quit Open AI. Recently, Musk and other researchers and giants like Meta and Microsoft signed an open petition for AI Safety this March.
It aimed to halt further research on GPT-4 until its safety and potential are cleared and understood.
