Deloitte Introduces DARTbot: Cutting-Edge Internal Chatbot for Audit & Assurance Professionals

Deloitte, a global leader in professional services, has announced a groundbreaking development in its technology arsenal with the launch of “DARTbot.” This internal chatbot is empowered by state-of-the-art Generative Artificial Intelligence (Generative AI). It is set to revolutionize the daily workflows of nearly 18,000 Deloitte U.S. Audit and assurance professionals.

DARTbot, short for Deloitte Audit & Assurance Response Technology, leverages cutting-edge Generative AI to provide intelligent responses and valuable insights, enhancing efficiency and decision-making processes. Deloitte is committed to infusing Generative AI applications and capabilities across its organization, aiming to improve productivity and user confidence by applying its Trustworthy AI™ framework. Although an internal bot, it is likely to become one of the best chatbots in 2023.

Dipti Gulati, U.S. CEO of Audit & Assurance, Deloitte & Touche LLP, emphasized the transformative potential of this integration: “Integrating Generative AI into our technology solutions, combined with the experience, critical thinking, and professional judgment of our professionals, will allow us to deliver deeper insights and a differentiated client experience with distinction and trust.”

Designed for a seamless user experience, DARTbot offers a user-friendly interface. It is integrated with extensive datasets of industry knowledge and best practices, ensuring accuracy and reliability in responses. The chatbot’s primary goal is to enhance the productivity of Deloitte’s professionals, allowing them to focus on applying their expertise in areas such as objectivity, skepticism, and bias evaluation. DARTbot serves as a virtual assistant, providing real-time guidance, answering queries, and assisting professionals in navigating complex accounting questions.

Deloitte also invests heavily in AI education, training over 120,000 professionals through its AI Academy and allocating over $2 billion to global technology learning and development initiatives. This investment aims to enhance skills in key technology areas, including AI, to effectively address industry and functional challenges.
