The client runs programs that pair mentors with people who need daily support across several US states. Critical mentor data was split across a legacy SQL store and Salesforce, with no common keys linking the two systems. The result was duplicate and missing records, a manual daily export routine driving all analytics, and names, addresses, and IDs differing between systems, creating compliance risks across every state the business operated in. Inferenz built a central SQL Server master hub, implemented Data Vault architecture, created unique hash keys for every record, and delivered SSIS-powered ETL pipelines and self-service Power BI dashboards that replaced the manual routine entirely.
Critical mentor data sat in two siloed systems with no reliable way to reconcile them. Three core problems were blocking operational reliability and compliance.
Salesforce and the legacy SQL store had no shared identifiers linking mentor records across systems. The result was duplicate entries, missing records, and no reliable way to reconcile mentor data across the two platforms. Care apps and finance statements were reading from different, incompatible versions of the same records.
Every analytical statement, the business relied on was built from a manually triggered daily Salesforce export. Teams lost hours each week rebuilding simple metrics from raw extracts. There was no automated pipeline, no scheduled refresh, and no way to surface up-to-date mentor counts, placements, or gaps without manual intervention.
The same mentors appeared with different names, addresses, and identifier formats in Salesforce and SQL. This inconsistency made it impossible to trust either system as a source of truth, drove compliance risks across multiple states, and meant staff routinely made decisions based on outdated or conflicting data.
With data changing across two systems and no version history or change log, the business had no way to demonstrate what a record looked like at any point in time. HIPAA compliance checks required a traceable history of data changes that the existing architecture could not provide.
Inferenz replaced two conflicting data siloes with a single governed master hub, giving employees, one trusted source for every mentor record across all states.
Built a central SQL Server master hub storing a single golden record for every mentor, replacing the fragmented two-system architecture with one authoritative source feeding both care apps and finance documents.

Implemented a Data Vault layer with Hub, Link, and Satellite tables to preserve full change history while maintaining source-level detail, enabling the business to reconstruct any record at any point in time for compliance reviews.

Generated unique hash keys for every mentor record to eliminate merge conflicts between Salesforce and SQL, accelerate lookups across millions of rows, and give every record a stable, system-independent identifier.

Delivered self-service Power BI dashboards surfacing up-to-date mentor counts, placements, and operational gaps without manual data pulls, enabling the staff to access accurate data on demand.

Migrated 50 gb of structured mentor data into the new master hub, scrubbing duplicates and reconciling conflicting records across Salesforce and the legacy SQL store to produce a single clean dataset the entire organization could trust.

Clean data, zero duplicates
Every mentor record scrubbed and deduplicated so each person appears once, eliminating the mix-ups and conflicts that had driven compliance risk.
Mentor rows
Loaded, cleansed, and validated on a defined schedule with SSIS ETL pipelines, replacing the manual daily Salesforce export routine with a fully automated data refresh.
Source of truth for all teams
One SQL Server master hub now feeds care apps and finance documents with the same trusted numbers, replacing two conflicting siloed systems.
HIPAA-ready audit trail
Data Vault preserves a complete change log for every record, enabling the business to pass HIPAA compliance checks across all states automatically.
