A single BI engineer was managing four disconnected systems: two EMRs, a patient triaging platform, a state HIE, and HR data, with no shared model between them. Inferenz built a unified Enterprise Data Warehouse on Snowflake, created a Master Patient Index resolving patient identities across both EMRs, and delivered 7 KPI dashboards across clinical, operational, and business domains. Leadership recovered 2 hours daily from manual spreadsheet audits, and the organization now has an AI-ready data foundation it can build on.
The organization's entire data operation rested on a single BI engineer managing four disconnected systems with no shared model, unable to support the analytics and AI capabilities leadership needed.
A single BI engineer handled schema design, integration, dashboard development, and data quality across all systems. Every new request queued. Every incident pulled focus from strategic work.
Two EMRs, a triaging platform, a state HIE, and HR data operated independently. Cross-functional analysis required manual consolidation from scratch every time.
Leadership reporting was compiled manually before every meeting. The Business Development review alone consumed 2 hours daily before any strategic discussion could begin.
Care gap detection, automated alerts, and patient safety monitoring were on the roadmap but structurally blocked. The data existed across four systems. It could not be used.
Inferenz developed a unified Enterprise Data Warehouse on Snowflake integrating both EMRs, the triaging system, the state HIE, and HR data into one governed repository. Here’s what they did:
Azure ADF pipelines replaced fragmented manual extracts with real-time, documented data flows.

A Master Patient Index resolved conflicting identities across both EMRs, creating a single clinical record per patient — the prerequisite for safety monitoring, care gap detection, and quality benchmarking.

KPI dashboards were built across 7 domains: patient safety, quality of care, business development, revenue, and more, replacing the daily 2-hour spreadsheet audit with a live, automated view.

Real-time data quality checks and automated alerting replaced reactive, engineer-dependent quality management.

The platform was architected for extensibility: new EMRs, service lines, or acquired entities onboard without rebuilding the foundation.

Delivery acceleration
An 18-month solo build delivered in a fraction of the timeline with governed pipelines and live dashboards in parallel.
